February TBR
Hi everyone,
Since weâre now a few days into February, I thought I would share my TBR list with you all. It’s a little bit ambitious, especially as I am also reading lots of YA for my PhD research this month [hello Grisha trilogy] but I’m still hoping to get through most of it đ
Anyhow, here is the list of books Iâm hoping to read this month:
- King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo. I’ve already started this one, but I was a bit delayed in picking it up after its release since I had deadlines. I’m really enjoying it, but for some reason I’m struggling to read big chunks of it in one go.
- Soulbinder by Sebastien de Castell. I’ve had this one since a blogging brunch at Hot Key months and months ago and have yet to pick it up. I loved Charmcaster and I’m really hoping to get to this one before the next book is released. Which is probably soon since de Castell releases books so frequently.
- The Quiet at the End of the World by Lauren James. I’ve had an ARC of this for a little while and I’m keen to get to it before the book’s release.
- Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson. I picked this up the other day and although I feel a bit guilty reading new purchases while older ones languish on my shelf, it was definitely a mood buy and I want to see how this book works out.
- Shadowscent by P.M Freestone. I picked this up the other day too. I thought the cover was so stunning and the premise sounds like something I’m going to love, so it was an instant buy for me.
- Roseblood by A.G. Howard. I got this one from my lovely bookish friend Fran in a Secret Santa box over Christmas. It’s been on my wishlist for a while so I’m hoping to get to it this month. Got to love a Phantom of the Opera retelling.
- The Wicked King by Holly Black. Though I wasn’t massively sold on the first book [I liked it, but I feel like there’s lots of better Holly Black books out there] I wanted to give this another go. While it is a recent purchase, I know it’s a big release, so I’m hoping to read and review soon.
- Monsters by Sharon Dogar. This was the January Book Box Club book. My friends will be doing a buddy read of it, so I’ll hang on til then, but I’m interested as this is a story about Frankenstein, aka one of the best Gothic classics of all time.
- Fire and Heist by Sarah Beth Durst. I got this in the December Fairyloot. I got the box because of the items, rather than the book, but it sounds interesting enough to give it a go. It’s not a high priority this month, but I’m hoping to get around to it.
- Evermore by Sara Holland. Another big recent release. I loved book one, it was such a great premise, so I’m keen to dive right into this as soon as I can.
And thatâs it haha. What is everyone planning on reading this month? Let me know in the comment section, I always love hearing about new books that havenât already made it onto my shelf đ
