So this month was pretty uneventful in terms of my book buying. I only got a few copies of things, although I do have some E-ARCs on my kindle to get through soon. Problematically, my shelves are really starting to fill up, and I don’t have much room for more books.

Books I Bought:

  • Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. This behemoth of a book was a purchase from Illumicrate, who were doing signed and personal copies.
  • On the Come Up by Angie Thomas. I’m going to meet  her today and I am SO EXCITED.
  • Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen McManus. I just realised as I stared at my shelves that I’d forgotten to include this in my pic. I loved One of Us is Lying so I’m anticipating enjoying this one a lot.

Books From Book Boxes:

  • Shadowscent by P.M. Freestone. Sent to me by Book Box Club. I was so excited by this title, and by the gooooorrrrgggeeeouuus cover, that I ended up buying a copy before I received this one in the post. This is the first time this has ever happened. Thankfully, I have lots of bookish friends to give duplicates to, so this one is getting sent to my friend Maddy.
  • A Curse So Dark and Lonely by Bridget Kemmerer. I got an E-ARC of this a while ago and I LOVED IT SO SO SO MUCH. So I knew I needed to get the Beauty and the Beast themed FL box, because obviously this was going to be the book. And it is signed, so it is officially perfect.

Physical ARCs from Publishers:

  • Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds. Kindly sent to me by Macmillan.

E-Book ARCS:

  • Lady Smoke by Laura Sebastian. I was so thrilled I got an ARC of Ash Princess last year, so I have very high hopes for this book.
  • Archenemies by Marissa Meyer. It still isn’t out in the UK yet, so I have been needing this book in my life since finishing Renegades.
  • Summer Bird Blue by Akemi Dawn Bowman. I fell in love with Starfish last year, so this is one I’ve been anticipating for a long time.
  • Crown of Feathers by Nicki Pau Preto. I don’t actually know much about this book, but I have heard a lot of hype about it, so I am excited to see what it’s about.

Books Read in February:

  • King of Scars by Leigh Bardugo. I started this as soon as I got my hands on a copy on the day of release, but due to a load of uni deadlines, I didn’t get to finish it until February.
  • Bloodwitch by Susan Dennard. I was fortunate to be part of her awesome Witchlanders ARC chain and so I was sent a copy by another reader, and then passed it along to someone else when I was done 😀
  • The Wicked King by Holly Black. Another book I didn’t get around to as soon as it was released [I promise I will do better] but I loved it so much.
  • Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. I read this as part of my close-reading research for my PhD. I’m planning to post a whole article about this in the future.
  • Monsters by Sharon Dogar. The January BBC book. I wasn’t a big fan of it, since fictional biographies confuse the heck out of me, but it was an interesting read.
  • Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. Again, this was part of my uni research reading.
  • On the Come Up by Angie Thomas. Read in preparation for her awesome book tour.

And that’s it for my February Haul and Wrap Up. What are some of your favourite books you bought/read last month? Let me know in the comment section below. Until next time <3
