Happy 2026, friends ❤ Here's to a year of living Happy 2026, friends ❤

Here's to a year of living deliberately, of doing what you enjoy because you enjoy it, of picking up that book that's been on your shelf forever because maybe it's finally time. Here's to pouring yourself a fresh cup of coffee, lighting a candle, eating a pastry while you're wandering new worlds because you want the full cosy experience, and you deserve it.

Here's to everyone who wants to read this year, whether you read two books or a hundred. So long as you're happy, that's really all you need.

I'm not making a firm resolution this year, but I'd like to try and look after myself more. Sometimes that will look like forcing myself to go to the gym when it's cold outside, and sometimes that will look like spending an extra half-hour in bed and ignoring that voice in my head insisting that I need to get up and do things. 2025 was a weird year, between losing our gorgeous Zed, job insecurity, and getting the ADHD diagnosis, but I think I have the tools I need now to keep building the life I want to live 😁

― Nikita Gill, Hekate

Hey friends and fellow readers, it's very almost the weekend. I am so ready to curl up in bed with my Steamdeck and books (and maybe a warm coffee too) and basically just hibernate until Christmas. Sadly, I'm not sure that's a real option.

💭 Do you ever read mythology or poetry?

I picked up Hekate after playing some Hades 2 (I haven't finished yet so no spoilers please!) and loved it, but I didn't realise until I opened the book that it was poetry. It was an interesting read though, even if it's not what I usually gravitate towards. I posted my full review on my blog! (www.coffeestarsbooks.com)

Hey friends and fellow bookworms! It's been a long long Tuesday and right now I'm dreaming of just curling up with a good book. But I did have a productive day yesterday, scheduling book blog posts for the next couple of weeks. It's been nice to ease back into that, and I have a few exciting projects to reveal soon! And tomorrow, I might possibly be getting a Kindle. There was a huge mess with Amazon today, but it looks as though I might still receive a Kindle tomorrow...maybe.

Hi, wonderful bookish people!

How are we already almost at the edge of November. Time has really flown this year. I'm very very behind on my reading goals, but I've got so many amazing books to read and a lot of great games to play too, so I feel a bit like a cosy little woodland animal hoarding all the treats ready to hibernate haha.

This was one of my more anticipated reads for this end of the year and a warm hug of a book, perfect for this slide into the chilly winter days. What is everyone else reading at the moment?

Hi friends! I haven't posted much this year (or r Hi friends!

I haven't posted much this year (or read that much for that matter!) but I saw this prompt floating around and thought it would be a good way to challenge myself for the last few months of the year. Except I picked out 11 books, because I have a lot on my tbr! I'm nit actually sure where to start either, because there's so many books I'm excited to read on this list. If anyone has any suggestions, I am easily swayed!

Hey friends, Just started Arcana Academy yesterda Hey friends,

Just started Arcana Academy yesterday. The worldbuilding is very intriguing and I love a good bit of enemies to lovers too. This book seems to be so hyped at the moment, so I'm hoping it's a good read! This gorgeous waterstones edition came signed with these beautiful endpages, I obviously couldn't resist!
