Son of Secrets Blog Tour
Hi everyone, First up, apologies once again for the absence. I had hoped to get back into blogging a lot earlier, but there’s been a lot of personal stuff going on regarding the Coronavirus and to be honest I’ve been feeling mostly just completely unmoored recently. I’ve been trying to write, but my brain has just felt so foggy and thoughts don’t seem to be coming well to me, so I decided to take a bit of a break to try and recharge and not push myself to do things that might impact negatively on my mental health. There’s been a lot going on in the world in the last…

A Boxer Kickstarter Campaign
Hey everyone, Here’s something I’ve never actually done before. A friend of mine recently wrote a graphic novel, and I found out the other day that there’s a kickstarter campaign to fund the awesome artists behind the novel. I’ve heard a little bit about the project before, but I was fortunate enough to get sent a few first pages of A Boxer and it looks amazing, so I wanted to share it with you all. A Boxer is a 100 page graphic novel that tells the story of Mike Shepherd, a British fighter trying to succeed in the hyper-masculine world of boxing, whilst struggling to manage his sexual identity. The book…

Girls of Storm and Shadow Book Blog Tour
Hey lovelies, Today is my stop on the Girls of Storm and Shadow book blog tour. It’s such an honour to be included on this one, especially because I loved this novel so much and Natasha Ngan is such a sweet person, so I’m very happy to be bringing my contribution to the table today to help promote the book. Usually, I would post a review for this book for my tour entry. However, since I already raved about this book back in August, I thought that instead I could do a spotlight section on the novel. From Goodreads: Lei and Wren have escaped their oppressive lives in the Hidden Palace, but soon…

The Spider Dance Blog Tour: Book Review
The Spider Dance by Nick Setchfield Hey everyone. Today is my official stop on the blog tour for the upcoming release of Nick Setchfield’s wonderful new novel, The Spider Dance. It’s not actually a YA novel [I know, I know] but I did really love the book and wanted to get in on all the hype. For my tour stop, I’m going to be giving my non-spoilery review of the novel 😀 From Goodreads: It’s 1965 and Christopher Winter is trying to carve a new life, a new identity, beyond his days in British Intelligence. Recruited by London’s gangland he now finds himself on the wrong side of the law – and about…

Blog Tour Announcement
Hey everyone, First up, I want to apologise if my blog is looking a little sparse of posts at the moment. I rather naively signed up to Camp NaNo this month in the hopes of finally getting around to the revise and resubmit of my first novel, and on top of that it is around about that time of the month where I have to push through uni writing even though I’m not quite feeling it. Also, YALC is coming up soon, and I am woefully behind on all my reading for it. However, in the brighter news section, I am posting today to tell you all that normal service…

The Path Keeper Blog Tour
The Path Keeper by N.J. Simmonds Hey everyone, I’m here today doing my part as a stop on The Path Keeper blog tour! The Path Keeper is the first book in N.J. Simmond’s Indigo Chronicles series. I was fortunate enough to get to catch up with NJ last year at YALC, and I managed to do a quick interview with her amidst all the chaos. Also, as a special bonus feature, we’re all holding a special competition: Read on to the end of my post to get the next letter in the phrase. From Goodreads: What if every coincidence was a tiny miracle? What if our life was already mapped out before birth?…

Book Blog Tour: Review of Dear Mr Pop Star
Hey everyone, So today, I’m bringing you a very special book review of the latest book by writing duo Derek and Dave Philpott. The concept of this one is a little bit wacky. Basically, for the last decade or so, Derek and Dave have been sending letters to famous pop stars, filled with bizarre and often ridiculous concerns. Most of them are really very witty, especially if you happen to have a fair knowledge of the musicians and songs they reference. Even more amusing, despite the odd letters the two have sent to pop stars from the 60’s to the 90’s, the musicians have often written back. Some of them…

Theatrical Blog Tour
Hey everyone, Today I’m the first stop on the blog tour for Maggie Harcourt’s new book Theatrical. The book follows Hope, as she interns on a major stage production at the theatre of her dreams. But with a distracting romance, lots of responsibility, a stroppy Hollywood star and a juicy secret Hope is determined to keep under wraps, she’s finding it hard to keep her cool. If you’ve seen my blog in the last week or so, you’ll know how much I LOVED this book. My review is here in case anyone wants to check that out, and I’ll be uploading a YouTube review of it soon too, if anyone is interested.…

Hey everyone, So this blog is the first stop on the Ash Princess blog tour, which is celebrating the release of the wonderful and fiery Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian. I recently wrote a spoiler-free review for the book, which you can read here if you’re interested in finding out more. Anyhow, I thought I would bring you an awesome bookish quiz. Who wants to find out which bad-ass YA heroine they are? Of course you do! I got Tessa from the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare. Which heroine did you get? Let me know in the comment section, I’m really curious to find out! And for anyone who hasn’t gotten enough…
