Hi again! Thanks for thinking about getting in touch with me. I love getting to chat about books with fellow readers, or finding out about new releases from publishers. Please check out the FAQ below to see what the best method of contacting me is, depending on your needs.

Frequently Asked:

I always love chatting about books with folks. If you just want to find more of my content, chat, or follow me on social media, please go ahead. I also have a Storygraph account- just click the button below this FAQ to find me!

I only ask that you don't attempt to use other platforms to DM or message me about reviewing yours (or someone else's) book. I prefer to keep my socials as spaces for other projects and socialising. I will ignore any requests which break this rule.

If you're an author or working with an author and you'd like me to review an ARC or Finished Copy of a book, the first step I'd recommend is checking out my review policy
to make sure I'm accepting new reads and that your book falls within the guidelines.

If yes, then great! Complete the "Contact Me" form below or email me at coffeeandmissingstars@gmail.com Please specify in your message what genre the book is, what target audience/age-category it is intended for, if it's an ARC or FC and what format the book will be in (I accept ebooks and physical copies only, no audiobooks please). Finally, please also let me know the intended release date of the book and whether there are any factors to consider such as embargoes or blog tour dates, so I can co-ordinate my review properly!

Please wait up to 3 working days before nudging me for a response. I work full-time and sadly blogging is my hobby, not my day job, so I'm not always able to reply immediately. Additionally, I'm also going through an ADHD diagnosis, and I do sometimes forget to reply when I'm distracted or busy- a polite and understanding nudge is appreciated if I'm not responding.

I'm sorry! If you've tried nudging me, and I still haven't replied, the likely cause is because you either didn't fill out the contact form properly or because your requests falls outside of the terms of my review policy. While I typically endeavour to respond when I need to reject a book for whatever reason, if I feel like someone hasn't read my review policy or taken the time to look around my blog and get a feel for the kind of books I review, I reserve the right to not respond. If you think something in your original form or email might have been a mistake, please get in touch again.

Unfortunately, I don't often accept requests to review self-published books for a variety of reasons. Feel free to reach out to me anyway, providing your book meets my review policy guidelines, but due to constraints on my time and my lack of experience outside of traditional publishing, I am often not the right person to help promote or market your book through my reviews.

Please make sure to read my review policy. While I read a wide genre of books, including fantasy, sci-fi, horror, and contemporary intended for YA and adult audiences, I rarely read outside of these genres/age categories and I'm therefore unlikely to be the best person to send yours or your clients book to.

I offer a range of content! When I am sent a physical ARC or FC, my goal is always to take an aesthetic photo of the book which I then post on both my Instagram and my blog as the feature image for my review. I also post an honest and detailed review of the book (which I also do for e-books).

However, I am open to creating additional content too, and I can offer a range of posts for blog tour events, including interviews, custom playlists, quizzes, and more. This kind of content will also be cross-posted on the day and promoted ahead of the agreed upon date. So let me know what you're thinking!

My Socials:

Why work with me?

7 Years of Experience

Coffeestarsbooks was first established in 2017, during my final year of undergrad. Though I transferred to a private domain from the free WordPress site I started on, the years of blogging experience I have definitely carried over!

Unique Visitors/Viewers

At the time of writing (May 2025), I'm averaging 75 unique viewers and 80 views a month. My best post to date is my review of Babel, which has garnered 93 views.

Knowledge of the Industry

Alongside my 7 years of book blogging, I also hold a doctorate in American Studies, and my field is in YA fantasy and popular culture. I've spent years researching fantasy fiction and the publishing industry, and written thousands of words on the subject. I'm by no means a complete expert, but I'm confident that I know a fair amount!
