Thursday Updates
Woo, hello everyone.
Usually, I’d be posting a tag, unboxing or some kind of article today, but I have so many announcements that I thought I’d be a boring person and update you on all the exciting things coming up instead.
*insert drum roll here*
So the first thing I want to announce is that this blog will be part of the official Ash Princess blog tour. If you haven’t read the book yet, or have yet to pre-order it, you should definitely check out my review of it here. The tour will bring you awesome goodness from several blogs, including mine, and I have to say a huge thanks to Laura Sebastian and the wonderful people at Macmillan publishers for including me on this. Join me on June 11th at 1pm [GMT] for some epic fantasy fun.
Second announcement time: okay, this is actually more of a question than a reveal. But I’m thinking about doing a monthly book group on here/booktube [when I set one up]. Basically, I will pick a book each month for people who want to participate to read and then on a certain date, I will post about it and you can all join in on the comment section. Would that interest people? I’m going to make sure the selections are a mixture of recently released and slightly older YA books so that people can join in without having to spend lots of money buying lots of brand new hardbacks or waste a lot of time looking for cheap deals for the books I pick. I’m planning on announcing the book around the 20th of the month beforehand [so like the 20th of June for the July pick] so people can try and wrangle themselves a copy and have plenty of time to read it. We’d then do the discussion around the 25th of that month. Sound like a plan?
And final announcement, which is a bit of shameless self-promotion here. I’m going to be taking part in #pitmad today over on twitter. It’s where authors like myself who are ready to query agents try and explain their book and entice agents and editors to request them using the hashtag #pitmad. My twitter username is @kbeestonewrites. I can only tweet my pitches 3 times in one day, but other people can retweet to help increase the chance of an agent noticing [though please don’t like any of the pitmad tweets you see unless you’re an agent]. So if you do see one of my pitmad tweets floating around today, you’d be doing me and my book a huuuuuuuge favour by giving it a little retweet. Also, if anyone wants to know what the book is about, please feel free to ask 😀
Eurgh, okay enough of the shameless novel plugging.
Let me know what you think about the whole book group idea in the comment section 😀 thanks everyone,
