June 2021: My Boyfriend Picks My TBR
Hi everyone, It’s now a week into June, which means it is time to start talking about my June TBR! I’m a bit of a mood reader to be honest, so having a TBR is always a bit of a daunting task, so this month I decided to make a bit of a game of it, and made my boyfriend pick a bunch of books to add to my TBR. He’s not a YA reader, so he doesn’t really know much about the books on my shelves, and so he picked a lot of the books based purely off how they looked. I’m thinking this might be a good tactic…

June Haul and Wrap-Up
Hi, everyone. Since it’s that time of the month again, I wanted to share my monthly book purchases with you all. Many of these bookish wonders will soon feature as reviews on the blog if they haven’t already been posted, so stay tuned if you like the sound of any of this haul. Also, a quick head’s up to anyone who buys Fairyloot or Book Box Club boxes: This haul does include the selected June books for both of these boxes, so if you’re still waiting on yours for any reason, you might want to be careful of spoilers when you scroll down 😀 And another, final note. I am…

June Haul and Wrap Up
Hey everyone, how is it going? So we’re drawing to the end of June, and I thought it would be time to share my June haul and wrap-up. It’s been a pretty quiet month for books for me, just because I’m trying to save up some money for renting a nice place next year and I’m still trying to get a job. But last month was pretty crazy for books and I’ll be attending YALC next month [where there are cheap and even free books EVERYWHERE] so I think I’m okay with this being a small haul month. There’s plenty still to read, at least. P.S. Sorry for the very…

Theatrical Book Review
Theatrical by Maggie Harcourt From Goodreads: Hope dreams of working backstage in a theatre, and she’s determined to make it without the help of her famous costume designer mum. So when she lands an internship on a major production, she tells no one. But with a stroppy Hollywood star and his hot young understudy upstaging Hope’s focus, she’s soon struggling to keep her cool… and her secret. Gorgeously fresh, funny and commercial YA romance from the author of Unconventional, and The Last Summer of Us. This was one of those books that made me hover by the front door, waiting for the postman to deliver it. Unconventional was one of my favourite YA reads…

I recently wrote a spoiler-free review for the book, which you can read here if you’re interested in finding out more. Anyhow, I thought I would bring you an awesome bookish quiz. Who wants to find out which bad-ass YA heroine they are? Of course you do! I got Tessa from the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare. Which heroine did you get? Let me know in the comment section, I’m really curious to find out! And for anyone who hasn’t gotten enough…

Books I’m Super Excited For in 2018 Part Two: April- June
Hey everyone, So today I’m continuing with my summary of all the awesome books I’m looking forward to squealing about this year. Since it is such a huge list, I’ve decided to post it up in three month blocks to make it easier to digest/so my fingers don’t fall off from typing it all up at once. If you’re curious I’ve already done a list of the ones being released between Jan and March, which you can check out here. April: The Fates Divide by Veronica Roth. Released: April 10th I know, I know, the first book, Carve the Mark had some serious and problematic issues [if you want the full story you…

June Fairyloot: ‘Elementalists’
This was my first Fairyloot box. I had been wanting to try one for a while, but alas, finances, so I decided to wait for a big occasion. In June I finally handed in my undergraduate dissertation, so I decided that I deserved some Fairyloot in my life. And oh my. What a beautiful box. I didn’t actually manage to take an unboxing picture, I was so immersed in tearing paper and cooing over items, so I’m afraid this will have to do, but eek. So many items. Such pretty. Again, I managed to predict a book [mostly with some snooping on goodreads lists] but I was correct, this box…
