    May 2021 Haul and Wrap-Up

Hi everyone, hope your weekend is starting well. It’s been a while since I’ve done one of these posts, in part because I’ve been going through some financial restrictions recently (my scholarship is coming to an end this year, and jobs are a bit uncertain in my field, so I’m trying to spend less and save more to cover any months where I’m between incomes). And also space is a little tight, since we live in a two bedroom flat and the shelves are filling up fast! However, since I’ve been teaching recently, I wanted to treat myself to a bunch of books. So, let’s start with the haul of…

    June Haul and Wrap-Up

Hi, everyone. Since it’s that time of the month again, I wanted to share my monthly book purchases with you all. Many of these bookish wonders will soon feature as reviews on the blog if they haven’t already been posted, so stay tuned if you like the sound of any of this haul. Also, a quick head’s up to anyone who buys Fairyloot or Book Box Club boxes: This haul does include the selected June books for both of these boxes, so if you’re still waiting on yours for any reason, you might want to be careful of spoilers when you scroll down 😀 And another, final note. I am…

    February Haul and Wrap Up

So this month was pretty uneventful in terms of my book buying. I only got a few copies of things, although I do have some E-ARCs on my kindle to get through soon. Problematically, my shelves are really starting to fill up, and I don’t have much room for more books. Books I Bought: Priory of the Orange Tree by Samantha Shannon. This behemoth of a book was a purchase from Illumicrate, who were doing signed and personal copies. On the Come Up by Angie Thomas. I’m going to meet  her today and I am SO EXCITED. Two Can Keep a Secret by Karen McManus. I just realised as I stared at my shelves…

    September/October Book Haul

Hey everyone, First up, a huge apology for the lack of recent posts. I’ve been trying to take part in NaNo this month and I think everything’s getting a bit hectic. On top of that, I’m still only about halfway through KoA still, so there’s a bit of a delay on reviews. However, I can bring you this [rather large] book haul for September and October. I started getting my scholarship funding in October, so there’s probably going to be fairly regular hauls from now on [as well as more unboxings]. Books I Bought: Caged Queen by Kristen Ciccarelli. I loved the first book, so when I saw the next…

    July Haul and Wrap Up

Hey everyone, how’s it going? First up, I want to apologise for the lack of reviews and articles recently. Everything has been very hectic around here lately, and my partner has been ill, so I haven’t had too much time to read or post reviews. However, I was just at YALC this weekend and I will be posting a second haul soon full of all the books and swag that I picked up. There’ll also be a video going up on Youtube later today of the weekend in all its bookish wonderfulness. Anyhow, on to the haul, which as you can expect, was pretty huge this month. Books I Bought:…

    June Haul and Wrap Up

Hey everyone, how is it going? So we’re drawing to the end of June, and I thought it would be time to share my June haul and wrap-up. It’s been a pretty quiet month for books for me, just because I’m trying to save up some money for renting a nice place next year and I’m still trying to get a job. But last month was pretty crazy for books and I’ll be attending YALC next month [where there are cheap and even free books EVERYWHERE] so I think I’m okay with this being a small haul month. There’s plenty still to read, at least. P.S. Sorry for the very…

    May Haul and Wrap Up

Hi everyone, welcome to my May Book Haul and Wrap Up. It’s been a pretty good month for books, and with so many big name authors releasing books this month, I couldn’t help but go a little overboard on the hauling. Again, there were some books sent by friends and publishers mixed in with this, as well as some e-arcs, so I’ve set myself up quite nicely for June. June will see me on a book buying ban, so I can save up some money for YALC, but I still have some pre-orders I’ve already bought released in June, as well as some books from late boxes and things, so…

    April Haul and Wrap Up

Hi everyone, This is coming to you a little late, but I’m going to do a quick haul and wrap-up for April. April was a pretty bookish month for me, I ended up getting 18 physical books and 3 e-books to review, so it was very hectic. Most of them were sent by friends or from publishers, so I only ended up buying around 8 books in total [including my Book Box Club book]. Definitely quite a haul! Books I Bought: Love, Simon [A.K.A. Simon Vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Beck Albertelli. I got this because I’d heard a lot of people getting hyped for the movie and wanted to…

    February Wrap-Up

Hey, everyone. February is finally behind us [even if the snowy weather is not] and I thought it was high-time I talked about my month of bookishness. It’s been quite a busy month, packed more with social events than with lazy Sunday reads. but I did manage to turn a few pages this month. The first novel I read this month was Libba Bray’s The Diviners, a historical fantasy YA about a girl with the ability to read objects, and who is entangled in a dangerous game of cat and mouse with a supernatural murderer. I started this book at the end of January, and it took a few days to get…
