May Illumicrate ‘Hidden Talents’ Unboxing
Hi everyone, Are you ready for an Illumicrate unboxing? I thought you might be. This was the May ‘Hidden Talents’ Box and it was also my first time purchasing through this company so I was SO excited. It’s coming to you a little later than planned because one of the items in the box was late, which means they didn’t get sent out on time [BOO] but they were jam-packed with wonderful items [YAY] so I didn’t mind too much. If you’d rather watch a video of me talking about all the items, you can do so here. The first item I saw in the box was this awesome lunch…

May Book Box Club ‘Stargazers’ Unboxing
Hi everyone, I finally got my hands on the May Stargazers box from Book Box Club. The postman came a little later than usual, so I was out grabbing coffee with a friend when it came, but fortunately my boyfriend was around to answer the door, so I came home to this wonderful surprise of book box goodness. Obviously, since this is an unboxing post, there are spoilers for the May box ahead, so if you haven’t received your Stargazers swag yet, you might want to bookmark this post and come back to it later đ Awesome, now that we’ve clarified that we’re all meant to be here and spoilers…

April Fairyloot ‘Whimsical Journeys’ Unboxing
Hi everyone, Today I’m bringing you an unboxing of Fairyloot’s April box, which was themed around ‘Whimsical Journeys.’ The reason this unboxing is coming to you so late is because there was an issue with one of the items in the box, so Fairyloot ended up sending them out a little late last month. Still, that just means that this month is going to be jam-packed with unboxings, woo! As ever, the box came with a gorgeous spoiler card from the usual Fairyloot artist. This one might be one of my faves so far, since it just captures everything I love about spring– the blossoms, the blue sky… I really…

Book Box Club March ‘Under the Sea’ Unboxing
Hey everyone, Today I thought I’d bring you an unboxing/review of the Book Box Club box for March. The theme for this month was ‘Under the Sea’ and it promised some excellent goodies. I have to say, I wasn’t disappointed. If you’d prefer to see a video version of the unboxing [featuring my weird face] you can do so here. Cool. So now we’ve got that out of the way, I suppose we should get on with the actual unboxing. As always, it came with a gorgeous art card with the spoilers for the box on the back. I love these things, and I tend to decorate my uni room…

September Book Box Club: Outlaws
So this particular Book Box Club box was very exciting, because it happened to be the first anniversary of the club đ How awesome is that? The box featured a really cute letter from Libby and Kate, and a specially made birthday shortbread cookie to say thanks, and I thought this was a brilliant touch. I definitely did not cry at all during this unboxing. Nope. I have pollen allergies haha. Anyhow, emotions aside, I really did love this box. I’ve just moved into uni accommodation again, so I thought it was really nice of the girls to delay my box for a week so I could make sure to…

August Book Box Club: Fearless Females
August’s Book Box Club arrived just in time for my holiday to the Lake District. The theme was ‘Fearless Females’ which sounded AMAZING, so I was super-excited to see what would come. I didn’t guess the book this month, although I was very happy to receive Things A Bright Girl Can Do by Sally Nicholls, since I had seen adverts for it at YALC in July and I liked the sound of it. There was the usual signed book plate, Q and A with the author, and an invite to the awesome book box club book club chat [wow, isn’t that a mouthful?]. Once again, this box contained an amazing candle by…

July Book Box Club: Spells and Remedies
July’s Book Box Club theme was ‘Spells and Remedies.’ I furrowed my brow for quite a while trying to figure out what the book could be, and I didn’t actually guess it, but I thought the premise of The Disappearances by Emily Bain Murphy sounded quite nice, and I liked the idea that it included lots of book quotes in the plot. Alongside the book, I also got a signed bookplate, Q and A pages from the author, and an invite to the unashamedly bookish Book Box Club book group. This box had a lot of cute merch in it. The first thing I saw was the Exclusive Raven Boys soap by…

June Fairyloot: ‘Elementalists’
This was my first Fairyloot box. I had been wanting to try one for a while, but alas, finances, so I decided to wait for a big occasion. In June I finally handed in my undergraduate dissertation, so I decided that I deserved some Fairyloot in my life. And oh my. What a beautiful box. I didn’t actually manage to take an unboxing picture, I was so immersed in tearing paper and cooing over items, so I’m afraid this will have to do, but eek. So many items. Such pretty. Again, I managed to predict a book [mostly with some snooping on goodreads lists] but I was correct, this box…

June Book Box Club: Schoolroom Scandals
June’s Book Box Club box was the first one I was a little unsure of, since I’d only just started to get into contemporary YA fiction again. I’m definitely more of a fantasy and sci-fi gal, and I’m pretty picky when it comes to contemporary fiction. But, just before they hinted at the book for June, I started reading Geekerella, and I really got into it, so I decided I would trust in Book Box Club to pick an excellent book. I sort of figured it would be One of Us is Lying before the box was sent out; just as well, since I almost almost bought this when it…

May Book Box Club: ‘Wizards at War’
May’s Book Box Club box was themed ‘Wizards at War.’ I didn’t manage to guess what the book would be, but I did low-key fall in love with it and I recently snagged a copy of the follow up, Shadowblack on Netgalley to review. So the main thing in the box was a gift-wrapped copy of the magical Spellslinger by Sebastien de Castell, along with a signed bookplate, Q and A with the author, and as always, an invite to the book box club book group chat. Alongside this was a Dumbledore pin, created by The Potter Emporium. I really liked this one, and my friends cooed over it A LOT when I wore…
